I'm still frozen
solid here. The weather is *supposed* to
warm up. We'll see about that. I had to break out the winter outdoor socks
for because I just can't seem to warm
up. My husband doesn't mind sharing. *Smile*
I borrow his gloves too; Men's things seem to be so much warmer. I don't
care how unstylish I look. I want to be warm!
I didn't work on my
Art journal this week. Ooops. I actually made the leap and decided to do my own
version of Project Life. I've been
thinking about doing it for years, but being the commitment phobe I am, for
fear of boredom, I decided to jump into it anyway and do it on my terms. I'm
not using a kit. I'm just going to be using my own supplies that I have on
hand. I think *hopefully* that will prevent me from getting bored. I don't have
very much done as far as creating because for some reason my Wal-Mart is not
doing 1 hour photo and there isn't any other place near me. That threw a kink
in the plan, oh well!

I have the next two
days off from work. It's nice not working on a Saturday and actually being able
to do things with my family. There are a lot of changes going on at work so I'm
kind of nervous about what is going to happen. My boss is retiring, we have a
new district manager who is enforcing that the store stay within the allotted
hours and must stick to the staffing guide. For the office, that means one HR
manager and 1 part time office person; right now there are 4 of us. And there
are only allotted 66 hours for the office….as of now, she schedules about 122
now. It's definitely going to be
interesting within the next couple of weeks.
I'm not really sure how the office can function without at least three
people (who's going to cover vacations, sick days, etc?), but that isn't my
problem to figure out and I'm not going to worry about it because worrying
isn't going to do me any good.

I really shouldn't complain, since I'm on the West Coast -- I know that the East Coast is far colder...but I can definitely relate to the need for warm socks. I've been raiding my husband's sock drawer nearly every night this week. Proof positive that I'd never survive a New England winter, I guess.
Well, despite your photo printing being on hold, it looks like your journal is off to a wonderful start!
Stay warm, enjoy your days off, and enjoy some more creative time!
Best,

Love those socks - they do look warm! Very cold here in the Midwest, too. I've been wearing my husband's thermal socks for days! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
